Fungi Recognition & Response

Fungi are interesting to people for a variety of reasons:

People are fascinated by fungi for many reasons. Some enjoy them for their culinary and medicinal value, while others are drawn to their ecological importance, whether it's the wildlife they support or their role in the natural decline of trees.

In today’s increasingly litigious society, it is vital that anyone who owns trees, works on them, or provides professional arboricultural advice has sufficient knowledge to identify fungi accurately and determine the appropriate response.

Fungi represent a huge variety in terms of size, shape, colour, appearance, texture, and more importantly in their strategies and the types of decay they cause.
